Administrative Assistant - Kempton Park, Johannesburg – Salary R9 000 to R16 000 per month
Work Hours: Monday – Thursday (07:30 – 16:30) | Friday (07:30 – 14:00)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our clients' growing branch in Kempton Park, Johannesburg. Reporting directly to the JHB Office Manager, you will play a key role in providing daily operational and administrative support, ensuring the branch runs seamlessly and serving as the key point of contact in the manager's absence.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- General Office Support: Handle incoming phone calls, assist clients, manage filing, edit documents, and take meeting minutes.
- Operations & Sales Admin: Draft reports, compile and send out quotations, and obtain Purchase Orders (POs).
- Supply Chain & Stock Admin: Place orders with suppliers, handle collections and/or deliveries, track incoming and outgoing inventory, update stock records, and assist with stock takes.
- Branch Coordination: Step in as the primary point of contact when the Office Manager is unavailable and handle ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of working experience in a similar administrative role within a small to medium-sized business. (Experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing environments is a strong advantage).
- Education: Tertiary qualification in Administration or a related field.
- Technical Mindset: Being technically minded is a strong advantage.
- Languages: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans .
- Tech Skills: Computer literate and highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional organizational, time-management, and administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Licence & Transport: Valid driver's licence and reliable own transport are essential.
