Detail: A leading organisation is seeking a Senior Active Directory Administrator to take ownership of its enterprise identity infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern Microsoft technologies, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the security, availability, and performance of mission-critical directory services. Working alongside a high-performing infrastructure team, you will play a key role in managing and optimising Active Directory services while supporting the organisation's broader digital and security objectives. Manage user accounts, security groups, permissions, and access controls. Develop, deploy, and maintain Group Policies to ensure consistency and security across the organisation. Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory, authentication, and access-related issues. Implement and maintain security controls in line with industry best practices. Ensure compliance with organisational governance standards and security requirements. Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and support teams to integrate directory services across the technology landscape. Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures. Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and system enhancements. Monitor system performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Generate reports and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and service delivery. Utilise PowerShell scripting to automate administrative and operational processes. Experience & Skills of the Ideal Candidate Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Minimum of 10 years' experience administering Active Directory within a large enterprise environment. Extensive knowledge of Active Directory design, architecture, implementation, and administration. Strong experience with Windows Server technologies. Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills. Proven experience managing and troubleshooting Group Policies. Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles. Experience implementing Active Directory security standards and best practices. Knowledge of Active Directory backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple technical teams. Microsoft certifications, including Azure Administrator Associate and/or Identity and Access Administrator Associate, will be advantageous.
