Responsibilities : · The successful candidate's duties will include, but will not be limited to: · Managing and supervising a team of 11 bookkeepers responsible for weekly bookkeeping services for approximately 140 companies. · Reviewing Sage Pastel processing, weekly cash flows, and related bookkeeping records to ensure accuracy and compliance. · Overseeing and assisting with Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, and other statutory compliance matters. · Managing and assisting with CIPC registrations, amendments, and submissions. · Providing training, mentoring, support, and guidance to bookkeeping staff and clients. · Reviewing, approving, and authorising payments to independent contractors in accordance with company policies and internal controls. · Assisting management with financial reporting, compliance, and operational processes. · Travelling occasionally to the Durban office and to clients throughout South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana to provide financial support and training where required. · Sage Pastel Accounting · SimplePay Payroll · Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred) · Microsoft Word · Microsoft Outlook · Microsoft Teams · Microsoft PowerPoint · General cloud-based accounting and document management systems .
