Accounts Analyst

An established organisation is seeking a detail-oriented Account Analyst to join its team in Johannesburg. This role offers the opportunity to work across finance, data analysis, reporting, compliance and stakeholder engagement, giving you valuable exposure to a unique and growing industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Process membership applications and respond to member queries
• Maintain accurate member records and registers
• Assist with member invoicing and debtor management
• Follow up on member tonnage declarations
• Capture and analyse tonnage data
• Prepare reports and financial information for management
• Support the Financial Manager with monthly management accounts
• Prepare interim and annual regulatory reports
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Assist with EPR fee collection and payment processes
• Perform reconciliations and identify discrepancies
• Ensure accurate and timeous reporting and submissions

Qualifications & Skills

• Matric / Grade 12 • BCom or equivalent qualification • Finance or Accounting modules advantageous • 2–5 years' experience in a finance-related role • Proven reconciliation experience • Strong accounting knowledge • Strong Microsoft Excel skills • Analytical and detail-oriented • Excellent communication and organisational skills • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently If you're ready to take your finance career into an opportunity where your financial expertise contributes to a more sustainable future, this could be the career move you've been waiting for.
