My client in Stellenbosch is looking for a motivated and resilient Accounts Administrator / Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. Whether you have gained experience in industry or within an accounting firm, we would love to hear from you. Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
- Customer and supplier invoicing
- Bank, creditor, debtor, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Stock-related accounting and reconciliations
- Month-end processing and support
- Assisting with multiple entities within the group
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting accounting processes
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies and accounting issues
- General financial administration and reporting
The ideal candidate is
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- SAIPA articles would be highly advantageous
- Relevant accounting experience, either in an accounting firm or industry environment
- Experience working with multiple entities is advantageous
- Experience using Xero and/or Accounting ERP systems
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
Solid Microsoft Excel skills, including
- Lookups
- Pivot tables
- Formula creation and maintenance
- Experience with reconciliations and transactional processing
- Payroll experience would be an added advantage
Qualification
- Matric
- Degree or tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
