• Matric / Grade 12 • Relevant academic qualification in Accounting or a related field • 35 years post-qualification experience in a Finance/Accounting department • Thorough understanding and practical application of Accounting and Auditing • Knowledge of SAGE ERP system • Advanced Excel skills, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Confidence communicating with colleagues at all levels of the organisation • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills • Self-motivated with a positive attitude • Ability to work accurately and meet financial reporting deadlines • Experience with or understanding of financial functions such as:
- Debtors / Accounts Receivable
- Creditors / Accounts Payable
- Fixed assets
- Inventory reconciliations
- Rebates
- VAT
- Accruals and provisions
- Insurance
- Cash allocations
- Financial reconciliations
- Audit support
- Financial reporting
