ACCOUNTING MANAGER/ACCOUNTANT

Accounting Manager / Accountant Location: Alberton, Gauteng BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance Completed SAIPA or SAICA Articles Strong knowledge of:   Income Tax/VAT/PAYE/Statutory compliance requirements/CIPC processes and submissions Managing and supervising a team of 11 bookkeepers responsible for weekly bookkeeping services for approximately 140 companies. Reviewing Sage Pastel processing, weekly cash flows, and related bookkeeping records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Overseeing and assisting with Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, and other statutory compliance matters. Managing and assisting with CIPC registrations, amendments, and submissions. Providing training, mentoring, support, and guidance to bookkeeping staff and clients. Reviewing, approving, and authorising payments to independent contractors in accordance with company policies and internal controls. Assisting management with financial reporting, compliance, and operational processes. Travelling occasionally to the Durban office and to clients throughout South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana to provide financial support and training where required. Sage Pastel Accounting/SimplePay Payroll/Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred)/Microsoft Word/Microsoft Outlook/Microsoft Teams/Microsoft PowerPoint General cloud-based accounting and document management systems.
