Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.

• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.

• Systems & Process Control

• Maintain and optimize accounting systems (Sage and Xero).

• Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.

• Streamline financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.

• Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to tax legislation, statutory filings, and audit requirements.

• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

• Monitor compliance with corporate governance frameworks.

• Business Support

• Provide financial insights to management for strategic planning.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Partner with operational teams to drive cost control and profitability.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements

• Completed SAICA articles (Chartered Accountant training).

• Minimum 4 years of post‑articles experience in financial management.

• Proficiency in Sage and Xero accounting systems.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax legislation, and compliance frameworks.

• Experience in preparing management accounts and statutory reporting.

• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently and lead financial processes.

• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.

• High integrity and commitment to professional standards.
