Introduction

Medium sized accounting firm is looking for an Accountant with 3 years post article experience to join their accounting team

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform monthly accounting work for a portfolio of clients

Cashbook entries, journal postings and month-end procedures

Reconciliation of VAT

Submission of VAT returns

Provisional tax calculations

Payroll, including submission of EMP201s and EMP501s

Workmen's Compensation calculations and returns

Compile AFS and tax computations for CCs, Companies, Trusts and Sole Proprietors on CaseWare

Calculate annual tax returns for CCs and Private companies

Manage month-end close process including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals

Review financial data to identify discrepancies and take corrective action

Review and investigate errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports

Desired Experience & Qualification

B Com: Accounting

3 years’ post article experience

Familiar with Caseware, Pastel Accounting, Pastel Payroll and Sage One Accounting
