- Perform the full accounting function from source to trial balance level
- Manage daily cash management
- Process transactions on BDA
- Extract daily trial balance from BDA and TM1
- Manage the full debtors and creditors function
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Manage petty cash
- Process monthly accruals
- Balance intercompany loans
- Complete balance sheet analysis and reconciliations
- Update the fixed assets register
- Handle SARS submissions and payments including VAT, Dividend Tax, STT and PAYE
- Prepare year-end audit files
- Prepare for BEE audits
- Update the contracts register
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Assist with any other duties that may arise in the course of business
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- BCom Accounting or similar qualification
- Proficient in Excel
Experience
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in an accounting role
- Stockbroking environment experience ideal or financial services exp
- Sage or BDA essential
