Accountant

Our client, based in Centurion, is seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Accountant who has completed their articles or is in the process of completing their articles by December 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a high volume of annual financial statements, reviewing financial information, compiling audit packs and handling various accounting functions. A strong understanding of taxation is essential, together with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

• B.Com Accounting, Financial Sciences or a relevant accounting qualification.

• Completed SAIPA, SAICA or equivalent accounting articles, or currently completing articles with completion expected by December 2026.

• Advanced knowledge of taxation and relevant tax legislation.

• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting and preparing a high volume of annual financial statements.

• Reviewing financial statements and accounting information for accuracy and compliance.

• Preparing and compiling comprehensive audit packs.

• Handling taxation matters, including tax calculations, submissions and related compliance.

• Managing cashbook processing and reconciliations.

• Overseeing creditors and debtors functions.

• Ensuring accurate financial records and reconciliations.

• Assisting with general accounting and financial reporting requirements.

• Meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining high standards of accuracy.

Experience

• Candidates with 1–3 years' post-articles experience will have an advantage.

• Newly qualified candidates who have recently completed their articles will also be considered.

• Candidates currently completing their articles must be eligible to complete by December 2026.

Salary

R30 000 – R40 000 per month, depending on qualifications, technical ability and relevant experience.
