Detail: Duties: Game drives & guided walks Anticipate future circumstances, conditions and requests and use these scenarios to plan ahead Anticipate Guest needs and think up creative ways to meet these needs Correctly communicate detailed information and instruction to others Recognise safety or security concerns Hosting guests Assisting with vehicle and reserve maintenance Requirements: FGASA Field Guide Level 2 At least 3 years’ experience as a Trails Guide / Senior Field Guide at a Big 5 reserve Full Trails Guide Other guide related qualifications Firearm competency ARH Valid First Aid Certificate Valid Drivers License Work Experience Four years’ experience in a similar big 5 role Competent in operation of different types of transport vehicles, electronic/digital communication systems and equipment Competent in operation of rifle equipment Ability to follow set standards of performance as expected by the organisation and the local legislation Able to use Microsoft Office applications at a basic level Ability to accurately read a map, follow directions, or programme and follow directions from a GPS system Conversant with specialist terminology including, Wildlife, Security and Conservation Works to create a work environment that encourages high levels of engagement with the company Effective in creating and fostering an environment of collaboration and commitment Ability to establish strong relationships with people from different backgrounds Ability to face challenges and high level of forward planning Embraces, supports and models organisational values and culture show more...
