ACCOUNTANT (RETAIL) Southern Suburbs, Cape Town | R35,000 per month
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting and Reporting
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Compile accurate monthly management reports.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring all additions, disposals and adjustments are recorded correctly.
Debtors Management
- Manage the full debtors function from end to end.
- Process and allocate customer receipts accurately.
- Reconcile debtor accounts and resolve outstanding queries.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and monitor outstanding balances.
Audit Support
- Assist with the preparation, coordination and successful completion of the annual audit.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation as required by the auditors.
Tax and Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT, Income Tax and Ad Valorem tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax legislation and submission deadlines.
- Assist with tax planning and related finance initiatives.
Finance Support to HR
- Partner with the HR department on finance-related matters.
- Assist with leave administration and reconciliations.
- Calculate employee incentives and commissions accurately.
