Key Requirements
- 3–5 years' experience in an accounting or financial accounting role.
- Strong experience with general ledger, reconciliations, journals, and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of VAT, tax, debtors, creditors, and month-end processes.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and financial integrity.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict financial deadlines.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and process journals, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Manage debtors, creditors, cashbook, and banking transactions.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Prepare VAT and other statutory financial requirements.
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor financial controls and ensure accounting procedures are followed.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis where required.
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and provide information to auditors.
- Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and up to date.

Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- B.Com Accounting or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Professional accounting studies such as CIMA, ACCA, or SAICA will be advantageous.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Practical experience with financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Good knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of South African VAT and statutory accounting requirements.
- Availability to start immediately.
- Permanent, full-time position.
