Accountant - Pretoria

Introduction

A well-established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Accountant to join them. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional with solid tax and accounting knowledge who is able to work accurately, manage deadlines, and contribute effectively within a professional and client-focused environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing accounting functions and financial records accurately

• Assisting with tax-related accounting functions and supporting the Tax Department

• Preparing and reviewing financial information and reconciliations

• Assisting with the preparation and submission of tax and statutory returns

• Ensuring accounting and tax records are maintained accurately and in accordance with relevant requirements

• Managing deadlines and ensuring work is completed efficiently and accurately

• Liaising with clients and providing professional support where required

• Assisting with general accounting and tax-related queries

• Maintaining a high standard of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Relevant Accounting, Finance, or Commerce qualification

• Proven experience in an accounting environment, preferably within a tax or professional services environment

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax-related processes

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
