Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their professional team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with relevant accounting practice experience who is looking to further develop their career within a professional environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and financial information.
- Process accounting transactions and perform regular reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Handle relevant accounting and client-related queries.
- Assist with tax and statutory compliance where required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Liaise professionally with clients and internal team members.
- Manage multiple client requirements while maintaining a high standard of service.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues where necessary.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant accounting practice experience is essential.
- SAIPA articles are not essential.
- Relevant accounting qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Professional, proactive and client-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a professional team.
