Job Title: Accountant Start Date: 2026-08-17 - 2026-09-16 Vacancy Type: Permanent JHB006276 Sectors: Financial Services Location: Gauteng , JHB - Eastern Suburbs Salary: R 40000 - R 45000 Monthly Cost To Company Brief: accountant|cost accountant|management accountant Well established East Rand based company on the East Rand seeks a Management Accountant to join their dynamic team Detail: The Opportunity A leading manufacturing business in is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to take full management and cost accounting responsibility for its Plant Business Unit. This is a hands-on role focused on product costing, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting , with close involvement with the Production and Finance teams. Key Responsibilities Manage and report on operational and manufacturing costs. Set, maintain and review standard costs of manufactured products. Perform cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis and investigate cost variances. Prepare monthly management accounts and management reporting packs. Assist with annual plant operating budgets, including product costing, cost centres, headcount, volumes and raw material pricing. Analyse manufacturing and product variances and recommend corrective action. Manage fixed asset controls, including the fixed asset register, capital expenditure and depreciation. Report on production efficiencies, productivity and manufacturing variances. Ensure internal audit and financial control compliance. Drive month-end and statutory reporting deadlines. Assist with quarterly forecasting, planning and business partnering with Production Managers. Oversee petty cash, cash sales and accounts receivable controls. Minimum Requirements ND Cost & Management Accounting, B.Com, CIMA or similar relevant qualification Minimum 3 years' relevant post-graduate experience Strong management and cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Experience in product costing, budgeting and variance analysis Advanced Excel / Office 365 skills High-level knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and inventory/stock accounting Sound knowledge of standard costing and absorption costing Knowledge of management reporting under IFRS Strong analytical and business-partnering abilities Ideal Candidate We are looking for a commercially minded, analytical individual who is confident working with manufacturing and production teams.
