Accounting Firm | Permanent Position
Our client, a well‑established accounting practice in Hermanus , is seeking a highly competent Accountant with a completed Accounting Degree and SAIPA articles . The ideal applicant will have strong technical ability, excellent deadline management, and proven experience handling a full client portfolio.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Accounting (BCom or equivalent)
- SAIPA articles completed
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in:
- Full bookkeeping function
- Statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, EMP501, Income Tax)
- Managing and controlling a client portfolio
- Strong skills in computerized accounting systems (e.g., Pastel, Sage, Xero)
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Full bookkeeping and accounting function for allocated clients
- Preparation and submission of statutory returns
- Monthly reconciliations and financial reporting
- Managing client queries and maintaining professional relationships
- Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met
