Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function from source documents through to financial reporting.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

• Oversee General Ledger maintenance and reconciliations.

• Process and review journals, accruals, and provisions.

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.

• Manage VAT submissions and assist with tax-related matters.

• Support month-end and year-end close processes.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Liaise with auditors and assist with audit preparation.

• Analyse financial results and provide insights to management.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies across the business.

• Collaborate with operational teams to support business objectives and financial performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• BCom Accounting or related Finance Degree.

• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Experience within a Manufacturing, Mining, FMCG, or Industrial environment is highly advantageous.

• Experience managing the full accounting function.

• ERP system experience is essential.

• Exposure to Syspro will be advantageous.

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, VAT, and general accounting principles.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• High attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
