A client of ours within the property/construction sector is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to take full responsibility for the accounting function of five small to medium-sized property companies. The candidate will manage end-to-end accounting processes, tenant invoicing on Re-Leased, and debtor management while working on Xero Duties & Responsibilities
Location Lanseria, Johannesburg
Requirements
- SAIPA- qualified Accountant
- Mathematics taken in high school
- Minimum of 5 years' full function accounting experience
- Experience working on Xero is essential
- Property industry experience highly advantageous
Responsibilities
- Full accounting function for multiple property companies including:
- Processing transactions
- Reconciling all accounts
- Preparing management accounts
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Invoice tenants through Re-Leased and follow up on outstanding payments
- Manage cash flow, budgets, and monthly reporting
- Prepare audit packs and liaise with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Collaborate with the property team on lease information, renewals, and escalations
