Accountant Market-related salary Sundays River Valley, Eastern Cape
Our client in the agricultural sector is seeking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is passionate about providing financial support to the business while maintaining strong financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and coordinate the finance-related activities of the business
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and monitor actual expenditure against budget
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts
- Report financial information to stakeholders
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and oversee day-to-day cash flow management
- Evaluate internal controls and implement improvements where necessary
- Provide financial support to the operational side of the business
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Further accounting qualifications or professional designations will be advantageous
- Minimum 3 years' relevant accounting experience
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial practices
- Understanding of corporate governance principles and internal controls
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial reporting/accounting software
- Strong analytical and numerical ability
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Deadline-driven with the ability to work independently as well as within a team
