We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team in Isando . This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience across accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations, cashbook, and fixed assets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the full Accounts Payable function, including supplier reconciliations and payment processing.
- Process and reconcile long-term receivables and long-term payables.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with the maintenance and reconciliation of the fixed asset register.
- Process and reconcile intercompany and loan account transactions.
- Manage bank, cashbook, petty cash, and forex reconciliations.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while resolving account queries.
- Support the Financial Manager with internal and external audit requirements.
- Supervise and support a small finance team.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 with Accounting and/or Mathematics.
- BCom Accounting qualification.
- Proven experience in full-function accounting.
- Strong experience with:
- Accounts Payable
- General Ledger reconciliations
- Long-term receivables and payables
- Loan account reconciliations
- Cashbook processing and bank reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
