An accounting and advisory practice within a national franchise network serving individuals, SMEs and larger businesses. Services span accounting, financial reporting, tax, payroll and business advisory.
Duties & Responsibilities
Compile annual financial statements and supporting working paper files using Caseware or Draftworx.
Apply relevant accounting principles and IFRS for SMEs in preparing financial reports.
Prepare and support corporate tax submissions and compliance, including ITR14, IRP6 and DTR01.
Assist with tax registrations and Public Officer appointments.
Support independent review engagements in accordance with ISRE 2400.
Assist with financial statement compilation and taxation for inter-vivos trusts, where applicable.
Liaise with clients to obtain information, resolve queries and meet reporting and submission deadlines.
Maintain accurate, complete and organised client files.
Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide guidance and support.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Recognised accounting degree
Completed or nearing completion of SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA or SAICA articles/professional training.
At least 3 years’ experience in an accounting practice, which may include time spent completing articles.
Experience delivering accounting services to external clients is essential.
Strong ability to compile annual working paper files and financial statements using Caseware or Draftworx.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS for SMEs .
Exposure to independent reviews under ISRE 2400 .
Familiarity with corporate tax preparation and compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle .
Package & Remuneration
R420 000 (per annum) incl. medical aid
