Career Opportunity: Accountant Job Title: Accountant Location: Bellville, Cape Town Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time Industry: Property Management Salary: R25,000 – R40,000 CTC (Commensurate with experience)

Are you an experienced property accountant looking for a dynamic role with a leading managing agent in the Western Cape? A well-established property management firm with a proud history dating back to 1968 is seeking an Accountant to join their team in Bellville. This role will oversee the full accounting function for a portfolio of approximately 30 clients.

Note: Candidates must be able to speak or understand Afrikaans. Key Responsibilities

• Full-Function Accounting: Handle bank statement imports, receipting, creditor payments, and general bank reconciliations.

• Billing and Recons: Manage debtor billing, assist with debtor reconciliations, and execute debit order runs.

• Management Reporting: Compile monthly management packs and post special/correction journals.

• Utilities and Municipal Accounts: Calculate and recover monthly utilities and handle complex municipal reconciliations.

• Audits and Budgets: Assist with annual audits and prepare/present annual budgets and financials at AGMs.

• Tax and Compliance: Handle the submission of VAT and PAYE, reconcile suspense and control accounts, and manage levy clearance certificates.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an Accountant. Property industry experience is a distinct advantage.

• Language: Must be able to speak or understand Afrikaans .

• Logistics: Own reliable transportation is essential.

• Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.

• Attributes: Customer-focused, structured, positive, and possessing clear communication skills.
