The ideal candidate is motivated and detail-oriented team player with excellent accounting knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Capturing and reviewing produce and related cost elements and adjustments *Preparing and reviewing weekly payments to producers *Sending payment remittances to producers *Reporting on producer payment summaries *Managing ledgers for any deductions on producer payments *Invoicing costs back to producers *Reconciling and reporting on balance sheet items relating to standard cost control accounts *Onboarding new producers *Ad hoc reporting as required *Any other relevant accounting functions as required.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • BCom Accounting degree or similar qualification; • Completed articles at a registered auditing firm, or a minimum of 3 years’ relevant accounting experience; • Experience in the fruit industry is essential; • Knowledge of cost accounting and standard costing principles; • Experience in forex handling; • Excellent computer skills (specifically MS Excel); • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English); • Own reliable transport.
