Someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day financial function, maintain accurate financial records and help ensure strong financial controls across the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
- Debtors and creditors management
- Bank, supplier and customer reconciliations
- Processing and reviewing invoices, payments and journals
- VAT reconciliations and submissions
- Cash flow monitoring and reporting
- Monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Payroll-related accounting and reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Stock and inventory reconciliations
- Import and landed-cost accounting
- Loan and finance account reconciliations
- Assisting with budgets and forecasts
- Preparing documentation for accountants, auditors and SARS
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
- Identifying discrepancies and resolving accounting issues
- Improving financial processes and internal controls
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Matric certificate
- Qualifications: NQF level 3 or 4 ideal
- XERO training advantageous
Additional Requirements
- Transport: Must have own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Languages: Must be proficient in Afrikaans for the company culture
- Other Requirements : at least 3-5 years’ experience with XERO Accounting software.
- Experience with Xero, Cin7 Core, inventory accounting, imports, manufacturing or stock-based businesses will be highly advantageous.
- Proven experience in a mid-level or senior bookkeeping/ accounting position
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with debtors, creditors, VAT and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for deadlines
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment

R20 000 - R30 000 CTC pm
