Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Summerstand, Port Elizabeth team on a contract basis. There is a possibility of the position going permanent
- Drafting annual financial statements on Caseware
- Review annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS for SMEs
- Perform monthly accounting functions including journals, reconciliations, and management reports
- Complete tax calculations and submissions for individuals, companies, and trusts (Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax, etc.)
- Handle CIPC submissions and compliance (annual returns, company changes, etc.)
- Liaise with clients, SARS, and other regulatory bodies
- Manage a portfolio of clients , ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for clients
- Provide guidance and support to trainee accountants and clerks
- Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes in accounting and tax
