Job Description

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate reconciliations, approvals, collections, and reporting

• Provide guidance and oversight to the Creditors Clerk, promoting efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to company policies

• Maintain payroll-related accounting records and ensure the timely submission of statutory returns, including EMP201 requirements

• Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, provisions, and payroll-related adjustments

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with IFRS reporting standards

• Compile monthly management accounts, executive reporting packs, and flash reports for key stakeholders

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX tracking, and variance analysis to support strategic planning

• Oversee cashbook administration, treasury activities, and cash flow management processes

• Coordinate and support audit engagements while maintaining robust financial controls and governance practices

• Monitor compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and statutory reporting obligations

• Collaborate with operational, HR, and management teams to resolve financial matters and drive business performance

• Contribute to the development of a high-performance finance culture focused on accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years' experience in a Financial Accounting role

• Previous experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or a high-volume transactional environment would be beneficial

• Solid understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations

• Experience managing creditors, debtors, payroll accounting, and month-end processes

• Strong systems aptitude with advanced Excel capabilities and ERP exposure

• Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Experience mentoring, coaching, or overseeing junior finance team members would be advantageous

Qualification: Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
