Accountant – Wellington Duties & Responsibilities
Join a dynamic international trading environment We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, financial reporting, and international finance , with the ability to deliver accurate, timely financial information to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Prepare and review payments, manage remittances, and reconcile bank accounts
- Monitor cash flow and assist with liquidity planning
- Capture and review cost elements, standard cost adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support onboarding of new clients, vendors, and producers
- Compile and maintain various financial and management reports
Requirements
- Relevant Financial Degree (BCom Accounting / Financial Management or similar)
- Completed Articles or minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and standard cost principles
- Advanced Excel and strong computer literacy essential
- Experience in an international trading or forex environment advantageous
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
