Location: Muizenberg Cape Town Crusaders Corporate is a busy Import and Wholesale business. We are looking for an experienced and capable Accountant to join our Cape Town Head Office. Are you an experienced accountant looking to play a key role in a dynamic import and distribution business? We are seeking a commercially minded Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and a keen eye for detail to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Perform reconciliations through to balance sheet level.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
- Manage inventory accounting, landed costs, and import cost allocations.
- Ensure accurate product costing and margin reporting.
- Reconcile supplier accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet control accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Support external auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Identify process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
Minimum Requirements
- BCom Accounting or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- SAIPA, CIMA, or SAICA articles/qualification will be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years' accounting experience, preferably within an import, wholesale, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of:
- Inventory accounting
- Import costings and landed costs
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- General ledger accounting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- High level of accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
