Company and Job Description

Our client is seeking an Accountant CA(SA) to take ownership of key accounting functions while supporting the broader finance team. This role is ideally suited to a detail-oriented and self-driven finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where their contribution directly impacts business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily bank reconciliations and process banking transactions

• Record customer receipts and maintain accurate banking records

• Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations

• Manage VAT reconciliations, submissions, and SARS compliance

• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

• Process petty cash and debit card journals

• Assist with audit preparation and supporting schedules

• Liaise with bankers and assist with banking requirements

• Support the finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting

Job Experience and Skills Required: Qualification:

• CA(SA) non-negotiable

Experience

• Minimum 2+ years' commercial experience

• Strong knowledge of VAT and reconciliations

• Experience with month-end reporting and audit processes

Skills

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Bilingual in Afrikaans and English

• Own vehicle (non-negotiable)

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
