Introduction

A market-leading organisation is looking to appoint a qualified CA(SA) to its finance team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with between 0 and 6 years' post-articles experience who have developed strong technical accounting skills and are seeking to take the next step in their professional careers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reporting.
  • Analyse financial information and provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and assist during audit engagements.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of financial controls and governance frameworks.
  • Investigate financial discrepancies and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Assist with technical accounting matters and the interpretation of accounting standards.
  • Participate in finance-related projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Prepare reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to support financial and operational objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiencies and strengthen control environments.
  • Support risk management and compliance initiatives where required.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Qualified CA(SA) .
  • 0–4 years post-articles experience or 4–6 years' relevant professional experience.
  • Experience within one or more of the following areas:
  • External Audit
  • Financial Reporting
  • Regulatory Reporting
  • Forensic Accounting
  • Technical Accounting
  • Financial Controls and Governance
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience working within financial services, insurance, professional services, or corporate environments will be advantageous.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
