A market-leading organisation is looking to appoint a qualified CA(SA) to its finance team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with between 0 and 6 years' post-articles experience who have developed strong technical accounting skills and are seeking to take the next step in their professional careers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Analyse financial information and provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and assist during audit engagements.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of financial controls and governance frameworks.
- Investigate financial discrepancies and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Assist with technical accounting matters and the interpretation of accounting standards.
- Participate in finance-related projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
- Prepare reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to support financial and operational objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiencies and strengthen control environments.
- Support risk management and compliance initiatives where required.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Qualified CA(SA) .
- 0–4 years post-articles experience or 4–6 years' relevant professional experience.
- Experience within one or more of the following areas:
- External Audit
- Financial Reporting
- Regulatory Reporting
- Forensic Accounting
- Technical Accounting
- Financial Controls and Governance
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
- Experience working within financial services, insurance, professional services, or corporate environments will be advantageous.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
