Are you an analytical thinker who loves a challenge and wants to take the next big step in your accounting career? If yes, then this Accountant position may be perfect for you. We are partnering with a growing and vibrant audit and accounting practice in Sunningdale to find an eager-to-learn individual to join their annual financial statements team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Compile annual financial statements from trial balance to completed statements.
- Prepare year-end journals, current tax computations, and deferred tax calculations.
- Reconcile balance sheet lines and clear queries directly with clients.
- Perform and document independent review engagements.
- Assist senior clerks on audit engagements during peak periods.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- BCom in Accounting or equivalent qualification at NQF level 6 or higher (completed SAIPA or SAICA training contract counts in your favour, and candidates partway through a SAIPA contract are welcome).
- At least two years of experience in an accounting or auditing practice compiling annual financial statements.
- Working knowledge of the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard and solid Excel skills.
- Own reliable transport for this office-based position and valid South African citizenship, permanent residence, or work permit.
