Start free — we apply for you →- A well-established company based in Durban North is seeking a suitably qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team.
- The ideal candidate should hold a BCom degree with Completed Articles and have 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate allocation of transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- B.Com degree in Accounting and Articles
- Minimum of three years' relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
