The Accountant is responsible for accurately recording the company's daily financial transactions and ensuring consistency in financial documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily invoicing
- Posting of bank statement transactions
- Monthly preparation of bank statement recon
- Preparation of monthly customer statements and collections, and attend to customer queries on accounts
- Preparation of journal entries
- Preparation of monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Preparation of inventory/stock costing as and when received
- Review the trial balance on SAGE for accuracy, completeness and reasonability
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for review by Finance Manager
- Daily/weekly preparation and update of expense reports
- Preparation of weekly cashflow reports
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns
- Maintenance of Fixed Assets Register
- Finalise month-end and financial year-end in accordance with the financial calendar
- Ensure adherence to company policy, internal controls and financial controls
- Liaising with external auditors
- Monthly depreciation journals
- Full creditors and debtors control function
- Other adhoc finance duties within ZH Group and BAOFN
- Travel when necessary.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 5-8 years financial accounting and/or management accounting experience.
- Key knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP would be an added advantage)
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Inventory/Stock costing and counting experience advantageous
