Our client, a growing mining and export business based in Sandton, is seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of the full finance function and support strategic decision-making across the business.
This is a hands-on role offering exposure to financial reporting, inventory management, export finance, compliance, costing, and operational finance within a dynamic mining environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Financial reporting and IFRS compliance
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Inventory, stockpile, and fixed asset management
- Accounts payable and receivable oversight
- Export finance and shipment cost reporting
- VAT reconciliations and statutory submissions
- Month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- ERP implementation support and financial controls
- Cross-functional collaboration with logistics, procurement, and operations
Desired Experience & Qualification
- BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- SAIPA articles advantageous
- Previous experience within the mining industry
- Strong understanding of IFRS, VAT, and statutory compliance
- Experience with costing, inventory accounting, and financial reporting
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems (Xero advantageous)
Package & Remuneration
R35,000 - R40,000 per month
