Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, including balance sheets, income and loss statements, and tax returns.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Cash flow management, project costing, financial reporting on projects.
- Project financial controlling.
- Tax and Vat management and reporting
- Deal with auditors annually
- Deal with internal auditors on request
- Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
- Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting & operational controls, especially relating to the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) operations.
- Understand general risk management principles and able to apply and identify risks and report to management.
- Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
- Analyse financial information to highlight financial issues and report to management.
- Assess, monitor and recognize billing in accordance with accounting policies.
- Establishment of process and systems to collect project data and pull through to departmental reports.
- Dealing with creditors reconciliation and facilitate payment.
- Dealing with banks on funding requirements and facilitating guarantees requirement from the project.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- A relevant recognized Accounting Degree or National Diploma.
Relevant Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a finance position.
- Track record of having worked in an EPC/Projects environment
- Experience with EJM preferable
Other relevant skills
- SAP accounting knowledge will be advantageous.
- Risk Management knowledge and experience.
