Company and Job Description: Join an established organisation based in Johannesburg East , offering an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and hands-on Financial Accountant . The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records while supporting the business with reliable financial reporting, reconciliations and statutory compliance. This opportunity is ideally suited to a BCom graduate who has completed SAIPA Articles and is professionally qualified with SAIPA , and who is ready to build on their technical foundation within a commercial environment. You will gain exposure across the finance function while working in an environment where accuracy, accountability and continuous development are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage general ledger activities and month-end processes.
• Prepare and review balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Process and review journals and accruals.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Manage VAT reconciliations and support SARS compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules.
• Assist with year-end reporting and external audit requirements.
• Support financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• BCom Accounting / Financial Accounting degree essential.
• Completed SAIPA Articles essential.
• SAIPA Professional Accountant qualification essential.
• Relevant post-article/commercial accounting exposure advantageous.
• Strong understanding of the full accounting function.
• Sound knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations and statutory compliance.
• Strong Excel skills.
