3PL Supply Chain Manager

Corruseal Group is seeking an experienced External & 3PL Supply Chain Manager to join Corruseal Corrugated Gauteng, based in Boksburg. This role focuses on managing the end-to-end external-to-plant supply chain – including all external warehouses, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, material handling equipment suppliers, and pallet processes – against demanding cost, quality, and service standards.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage external-to-plant supply chain performance and costs against specific standards for constantly changing needs. You will take full ownership of external warehouses and their related operating entities (3PL), material handling equipment suppliers, and pallet processes – managing these as a profit centre while embedding lean principles and ensuring statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the company safety strategy and risk management requirements

• Comply with all statutory and quality standards – ISO 9001, FSC, FSSC 22000, OHS Act (1993), and related requirements

External Warehouse & 3PL Management

• Manage and support external warehouse performance and compliance to standards

• Manage third-party (3PL) warehouse service providers

• Manage internal material handling equipment and related suppliers

• Ensure stock accuracy and quality across all external warehouses

• Establish and maintain all distribution and storage standards

Commercial & Profit Centre Management

• Manage pallet processes and pallets as a profit centre

• Optimise the cycle times of key warehouse activities within a lean framework

• Comply with customer mass-customisation and unique demands

Operational Excellence

• Embed the Lean philosophy across all work practices and management

• Develop and manage shift strategy to ensure continuous flow of product

• Conceptualise problems and opportunities and execute solutions effectively

People & Leadership

• Act as custodian of all HR practices – talent development, performance management, disciplinary code, recruitment, and talent retention

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Relevant B-Com Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics or Industrial Engineering (NQF Level 7)

Experience

• Strong leadership track record

• Proven 5 - 8 years experience as a Distribution Manager, or strong exposure to supply chain management in a high-velocity plant environment

• Demonstrated experience in people management at various levels

Technical Competencies

• Ability to conceptualise problems and opportunities and execute solutions to realise them

• People management and customer relationship management

• Strong commercial acumen

• Strong financial acumen

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) – advantageous

• Working knowledge of TMS, WMS, and YMS systems

Leadership Competencies

• Ability to coach and develop teams

• Performance management and capability development

• Change leadership in a lean transformation environment
