2 X EXECUTIVE PROTECTION OFFICER / DRIVER RP27 AND RP29

Introduction

The primary purpose of this position is to provide executive protection and chauffeur services for the executive personnel, to ensure safety  and Security measures are in place at all times.  In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for vehicle maintenance and will assist with security matters, risk / threat assessment and route planning as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY ACTIVITIES

• Provision of comprehensive protection services to ensure the overall safety and security of the executive personnel.

• Provision of a chauffeur driver service for the efficient personal safety and security of the executive personnel.

• Attend to vehicle maintenance to ensure the roadworthiness of the vehicles.

• Assessment of security threats that may impact the safety of the executive personnel and as directed by the Line Manager.

• Ensure effective security planning as may be required but with specific relation to the executive personnel.

Desired Experience & Qualification

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory Qualifications

• Must be registered and active with PSiRA.

• Must be in posesion of a PSiRA Grade B qualification.

• Close Protection Officer Certification (CPO).

• Firearm Competancy: Must be in possesion of  a valid Firearm license for business purposes, including proficiency in:

• Handle and use of a Handgun (Unit standard 119649).

• Handle and use of a Handgun for Business purposes (Unit standard 123515).

• Valid regulation 21 Certificate. ( Permit to carry a firearm for business purposes).

• Valid level 3 First Aid training or equivalent (i.e. FREC3).

• Valid driver’s license - Advanced Driving.

• Clear criminal record

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Security/Protection Industry of which 3 years in Executive protection, law enforcement or military environment.

• Must be Physically Fit.

PREFERENCES

• Risk assessment Training

• Basic firefighting

• Self-defence Training

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge

• Knowledge of safety and security protocols.

• Sound knowledge of the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000 and PSiRA regulations.

Skills

• Excellent vision and hearing.

• SAPS Firearm Competency.

• Advanced driving techniques.

• and excellent communication.

• Ability to stay calm in stressful driving situations.

• High level of professionalism and discretion.
